I'm a huge basketball fan. I'm a huge NBA fan and I follow the NBA much more than college basketball. I don't have a favorite basketball team, but I love rooting for a select few teams. I am rarely ever rooting against the Portland Trailblazers, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and San Antonio Spurs. Thing is, I'm a very neutral basketball fan and I love the sport and I love watching the sport when it is competed at an elite and professional level. I'm extremely unbiased when watching a ball game and although I do take sides, I understand fair or unfair calls and I enjoy spectacular plays from either side of the court. I do tend to root for the underdogs though and I like to weigh games based on who more deserves the win. Since I root for underdogs, I love players who are hard workers with good ethics on and off the court. My favorite player, by far, is David Lee. Other players that I love (not necessarily hard workers) are listed below in no particular ranking:Point Guards:
Steve Nash, Baron Davis, Deron Williams, Luke Ridnour
Shooting Guards:
Manu Ginobili, Landry Fields, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant
Small Forwards:
Paul Pierce, Josh Smith, Shawn Marion, Andrei Kirilenko
Power Forwards:
Kris Humphries, Kevin Love, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett
Centers:
Marcus Camby, Ben Wallace, Al Jefferson, Dwight Howard
Some of those guys get special honors because they are terrific and humble guys off the court. They show great senses of humor and appeal and considerations to their fans. These guys include Steve Nash, Baron Davis, Landry Fields, and Dwight Howard. They have great personalities and are really cool people. It's actually what puts Dwight Howard on my list is because he's not always about basketball and is willing to be funny about things and take things lightly. Otherwise, I wouldn't have him on the list because he should be averaging 20 rebounds per game with his physique, but doesn't achieve those stats because it seems like he's slacking off half the time he's playing.
